The Chords

Guitar chords are simply set of predetermined notes played on the guitar simultaneously. There are more than 800 different chords, some chords of different scales are played the same, some chords are very easy to play, some are quite difficult. I narrowed down the list of chords to the most popular, simple and easy to play ones for you to grab and start practicing. You will find those chords almost in every song or drill you're going to play. You should focus on practicing them very well and try to memorize all the major chords like: E, Em, A, Am, D, Dm, G, F, Fm, C, and B.

Note: you might find that some chords on different keys, are played the same. Or the same chord with different names. This is not a mistake! you might ask why, the reason being lies behind music theory on the scales. For example, A# is the same as Db: [x 0 3 2 2 1].
